Backplanes
Serving physics research and other demanding high performance test and instrumentation applications WIENER has developed a line of backplanes and accessories in various bus architectures. This line covers standard bus systems as CAMAC, VME, CERN VME 430, VME64x, VME64xP (VIPA)VXI and VXS but also custom spec. backplanes.
Based on the existing know-how and experience in standard architecture backplanes and high-frequency design WIENER as well as our sister company Hartmann Electronik GmbH can develop and produce any backplane needed.
WIENER VME-bus backplanes provide ideal signal and power distribution for both 32 and 64-bit applications. They are designed as multi-layer boards in a cross-talk reduced strip-line technology. The backplanes are actively terminated and provides automatic daisy chain either actively or mechanically (in connector, on request).
Monolithic VME backplanes are available with 5, 7, 9, 10, 15 or 21 (full size) slots. The length of the any VME backplane is [number of slots] x [20.32mm]. Board height is given in 'U' ( 1U = 44.45mm).
Typically WIENER is installing the backplanes in chassis but as spare parts or for customer applications we offer the following line of bus backplanes:
- Backplane CAMAC
- Backplane VME-J1
- Backplane VME-J2
- Backplane VME/VME64
- Backplane VME430
- Backplane VME64x-J1
- Backplane VME64x
- Backplane VME64xP
- Backplane VME64x-430
- Backplane VXS
- Backplane VXI
- Backplane VXI-4
